9-9:10 Welcome! – We get ready to learn by putting away our personal belongings and taking time to draw and create in our notebooks to transition into our preschool day.

9:10-9:20 Calendar! – During this time, we gather together as a class to talk about the weather, learn letters and numbers, and chat about our theme.

9:20-9:35 Let’s Sing & Dance! – As a certified Music & Movement teacher, our daily plans always include some song and dance! Here we incorporate song and dance to help warm up our bodies and minds, and get ready for learning! We will explore different instruments and ways to make music together.

9:35-9:50 Circle Time – Here we read stories, share ideas, and build upon our learning together in fun ways!

9:50-10:05 Class Activity – Here we take a deep dive into our theme and learning together! We will discuss our learning, do experiments, make art, create stories, and more as we turn knowledge into action.

10:05-10:20 Snack – After our activity, we wash our hands and circle back as a class to prepare snack and eat together. We focus on delicious, nutritious foods and everyone is expected and encouraged to try one bite of everything! Once a week, we have a hands-on food experience to learn how to not only how to eat good foods, but how to prepare them!

10:20-11:35 Self-Selected Stations & Indoor/Outdoor Play – Here, children are free to choose between indoor and outdoor activities, each set up to encourage different aspects of a child’s development, including gross motor skills, pre-writing, fine motor skills, pro-social interaction, artistic expression, and pre-math skills. The greatest thing we can learn at preschool is EMPATHY, and this is the perfect time to work together to learn how to be good friends!

11:35-11:40 Clean Up – Working together, we clean up our classroom and our outdoor space. Teamwork makes the dreamwork as we learn that cleaning up and taking care of the things we love means we get to love and play with them over and over again!

11:40-11:45 Pack Up – Children learn important skills during this time, like how to put on jackets and backpacks. Depending on weather, we will sing and play inside until parents arrive, or use this time to play outside a little more!
